Cleaning without compromise

Burford Laundry was set up in 1934 and quickly established itself as an integral part of the town and the community. The building was destroyed by fire in 2014 but has since been replaced by a modern, streamlined laundry that continues to serve local people and businesses.

The laundry was rebuilt by new owner Phillip Hall, who explains why he spent four years creating a new home for the long-established business. “The laundry has been here a long time; it’s part of Burford and I know local people would have been very upset to have lost it,” he said.

The business looks after a broad range of domestic customers, many of whom are now on first-name terms with the van drivers who collect and deliver their laundry. It also supports commercial concerns including Oxford colleges, hotels, pubs, restaurants and bed and breakfast establishments, all of which rely on Burford Laundry’s high quality, customer-focused service.
